A lifetime is made up of experiences, decisions, challenges, and unexpected turns. Some are carefully planned, while others arrive without warning. Along the way, I’ve had the opportunity to explore the skies, travel the waterways, serve my country, teach, and pursue interests that have taken me in directions I never imagined. Some experiences were exciting, some were difficult, and a few were downright humorous. Each left its mark and contributed to the person I became. Through these stories, I hope to share not simply what happened, but what those experiences meant to me. I invite you to explore the subjects that interest you, follow a few unexpected adventures, and perhaps discover something that reminds you of your own journey.
Aviation
Flying has given me some of life’s greatest pleasures, along with a few moments when I seriously questioned my own judgment. Come along for some adventures in the sky, where things didn’t always go according to the flight plan.
Military Service
Military service took me places I never expected to go and presented challenges I could never have imagined. These are stories of responsibility, courage, difficult decisions, and experiences that remain with me today.
Nautical
From sailing above the waves to exploring the world beneath them, the water has provided its share of adventures and surprises. Some were peaceful, others exciting, and a few proved that Mother Nature always has the final word.
Education
Teaching taught me nearly as much as I ever taught my students. Along the way, I discovered that some of the most valuable lessons came from questioning traditional methods and occasionally doing things a little differently.
